LAHORE: Anti-Narcotics Force has recovered 15.775 kg heroin, 16.609 kg charas and 980 grams of methamphetamine, after arresting nine persons and seizing two vehicles from Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi.
ANF Lahore arrested three men including a resident of Bajaur Agency, a resident of Lahore and a resident of Landhi Kotal recovering 10.8 kg of charas. They were travelling on a car and a motorcycle. ANF intercepted them near Jamia Chishtia Chowk, Sargodha Road.
ANF Lahore arrested a resident of Jhang district and a resident of Khanewal district after recovering 4.8 kg charas from them. They were arrested near Saddar Bypass, Jhang Road.
ANF Lahore intercepted a courier parcel at Skynet Lahore and recovered 980 grams of methamphetamine tactfully concealed in restaurant’s menu books. The parcel was destined for United Kingdom.
ANF Rawalpindi arrested a resident of Mushtaq Colony, Peshawar and recovered 14 kg heroin from his possession. He was travelling in a car when he was intercepted near Burhan Motorway Interchange, Attock.
ANF Rawalpindi also arrested two British nationals Muhammad Habib and Muhammad Arif from Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad with 1.6 kg heroin, which was tactfully concealed in casseroles. They were travelling to Manchester via Abu Dhabi by air.
ANF Karachi arrested Abdul Rauf, resident of Hyderabad and recovered over 1 kg charas from his possession. He was arrested near Giddu Chowk, Hyderabad.
ANF Karachi intercepted a parcel destined for Netherlands and recovered 175 grams of fine quality heroin. Drugs were tactfully concealed in thread cones.
