ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) has seized Rs103 million worth of drugs, including 12.6kg heroin, 10kg hashish and 450 gram amphetamine, in various operations launched in different parts of the country, while apprehended 10 offenders involved in drug trafficking.
An ANF team at Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad, in collaboration with Airport Security Force (ASF), detained a suspected passenger identified as Abdul Rehman, resident of Gujrat, and recovered 10kg heroin concealed in his bag. The accused intended to fly for Italy via Dubai by Emirates Airline flight No EK-613.
The ANF Rawalpindi, in another operation carried out near Gujjar Khan Bus Stop, GT Road, intercepted a motorcycle registered No RIO-23 and arrested a drug trafficker namely Fateh Khan, resident of Gujar Khan along with 4kg charas.
Similarly in another operation, ANF Rawalpindi on a tipoff arrested 2 drug traffickers identified as Darvesh Khan and Qabeel Khan near Zia Masjid, Islamabad Highway, Islamabad and recovered 2.4kg charas.
An ANF Lahore airport team held a passenger namely Sajid Sharif, resident of Khushab, at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore and recovered 700g heroin concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Saudi Arabia via Oman Air Flight No WY-344.
The ANF Lahore, in an operation carried out near PSO Gill Petroleum Service, Gill Chowk, Faisalabad, recovered 450g amphetamine from personal possession of an accused Muhammad Habib, a local resident.
