MULTAN: The Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association has demanded National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to probe cotton purchase programme of government through Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP).
Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) executive body members Ashiq Ali, Sarfraz Hussain ,Masood Arif ,Ghufran Ali and Muhammad Ayub while addressing a press conference put some question on the cotton purchase procedure adopted by the Trading Corporation of Pakistan. They alleged that cotton owners were compelled to sell out their cotton on the reduced prices due to this procedure.
“Government is purchasing cotton from their preferred ginners,” they said. They appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to intervene in this matter.
