LAHORE: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) impounded two vehicles from State Life Society. The market value of seized vehicle is Rs30 million.
Sources told Customs Today that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Asad Raza Rizvi received credible information about presence of non-duty paid vehicles in State Life Society, Lahore. He immediately directed Deputy Director Hasan Farid to use all available resources to intercept non-duty paid vehicles.
Customs Intelligence and Investigation team intercepted Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2014 model, and Toyota Crown car 3000 cc 2008 model in State Life Society.
Sources said that Customs I&I registered a case against the owners of the vehicles and started further investigations.
Earlier, in April Customs Intelligence and Investigation Lahore has seized three trailers of smuggled iron pipes, which were coming from Quetta.
It is necessary to mention here that Director Custom Intelligence and Investigation Asad Raza directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling.
