HYDERABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Hyderabad has seized 35 tonnes of smuggled print circuit boards (old and used). The value of the seized goods is Rs7.2 million, while the value of the transporting vehicle is Rs4.0 million.
Sources said that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation received credible information that huge quantity of non duty paid print circuit board would be transported from Karachi to Punjab. He immediately directed Additional Director Jamshed Talpur to take all measures to foil any attempt of smuggling.
In pursuance of received information, the ASO team, Range Office, Sukkur intercepted a truck/trailer at Rohri Toll Plaza, Sukkur. On Query driver failed to produce legal import documents. Therefore, the possession of the vehicle loaded with foreign origin print Circuit boards was taken into custody and escorted to the Range office Sukkur.
