Moreover, the federal government has already given FBR revenue target of Rs2810 million for FY2014-15, however FBR authorities has requested the federal ministry of finance to revise the revenue target and setup it at Rs2700 million for the current fiscal year.
The sources further said that the Finance Ministry would likely to revise the revenue target but not agreed upon to drag it at Rs 2700 million. The FBR’s revenue target for the last fiscal year had also been revised twice by the federal ministry of finance from Rs 2400 million to Rs 2270 million.
The sources further confirmed that the FBR has to pay special attention towards the collection of customs duty as per the set target throughout the fiscal year, as all the model customs Collectorates had missed the revenue targets in terms of collecting customs duty throughout previous fiscal year.
