ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue transferred 161 of Customs officers from BS 01 to 16 Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Peshawar to Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), D.I. Khan.
According to details through a transferred posting order No. Estt./CC(N)/lnt./T& P I 5221PT 6411 the FBR made this huge transferred posting order from MCC Peshawar to MCC DI Khan.
FBR transferred 4 superintendents, 21 customs inspectors, 1 appraiser, 9 UDCs, 17 havaldars 3 niab kasid, 1 chowkidar 1 water carrier 11 drivers and 93 sepoys from MCC Peshawar to MCC DI Khan.
According to background information after establishing a new Collectorate of Customs DI Khan and made it separate from MCC Peshawar the FBR have transferred this huge quantity of customs staff.
Previously the DI Khan was working as Customs station under jurisdiction of MCC Peshawar and was not a Model Customs Collectorate it was only a customs station having check posts while having a huge jurisdiction.
It is known that MCC Peshawar and DI Khan customs station were previously working under shelter of Chief Collector North whereas couple of weeks back the FBR issued a order regarding to provide separate identity i.e. the Chief Collector North was made separate from Chief Collector KPK, The whole KPK was previously working under command of Chief Collector North which was comprises KPK, Gilgit Baltistan, Sambarial and Islamabad.
Now the Chief Collector KPK had provided a separate identity and MCC DI Khan and MCC Peshawar both are working under its jurisdiction.
