MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started scrutiny of PRAL employees to search ghost employees.
The Federal Board of Revenue has initiated inspection of Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) employees to investigate existence of ghost employees in the department. The Model of Customs Collectorate Enforcement & Compliance Multan was directed by Federal Board of Revenue to initiate the process of scrutiny in the Customs House to trace out the absent and ‘ghost’ employees on special directives of Federal board of Revenue.
More than 10 employees from various ranks have been examined in the customs House and few of employees were gone through thorough scrutiny. Attendances of the PRAL employees in Customs House were also observed to check attendance of the employees and attendance record were taken into custody of the Customs House in order to avoid any tampering.
PRAL employees will be called for their verification in the Customs House to detect ghost employees. There are few employees who are absent from their duties on the medical grounds. Few employees were also called for interviews which were regular but they were involved in the holidays without informing departments. The Federal Board of Revenue is trying to find employees which were punctually absent from their job during last few years.
Almost whole strength of the PRAL employees working has been evaluated through this scrutiny process to search out absentee from this.
The monitoring of the PRAL employees working at the Multan Customs will make sure that all employees are authentic part of department which are working and serving according to rules and regulations of the department in this regard.
