HELSINKI: The statics Finland’s showed that the Consumers’ confidence in the economy improved further in May with the indicator at 15.5, which was 11.4 in April and 11.2 in March.
The long-term average for the confidence indicator is 11.9, according to the data based on Statistics Finland’s Consumer Survey, for which 1,315 people resident in Finland were interviewed between 4 and 19 May. Confidence in the economy has last been this strong in the spring of 2011. In last year’s May the consumer confidence indicator received the value 8.7.
Of the four components of the consumer confidence indicator, views concerning Finland’s economy, general unemployment development and households’ saving possibilities improved in May compared to April.
