HYDERABAD: Officials of the Customs Department on Sunday seized around one kilogramme of gold from two passengers at the RGI Airport.
In the early hours of the day, the officials seized around 350 grams of gold from a passenger.
The passenger reported hide the yellow metal in his rectum and tied a thread to it.
The officials, who were monitoring the movement of the passengers, stopped him as he was behaving suspiciously.
Upon frisking, they found the gold.
In the evening, the officials seized about 584 grams of gold from a passenger who arrived by a private airliner from Dubai.
The man, who is lives in the city, converted the gold into a wheel and tried to pass it off.
However, he was caught by the customs officials.
