Indonesia’s MoF launches electronic tax payment revenue system ‘MPN G2’

JAKARTA: Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) launched a revised electronic tax payment revenue system called Modul Penerimaan Negara Generasi 2 (MPN G2), as part of its efforts to improve tax administration and also tax compliance.

MPN G2 is described as an integrated electronic system to be used by the MoF to improve its management of state revenues. It is also said to be more convenient for taxpayers, with an improved interface. Under the new system, the payment of taxes, customs and excise, and non-tax revenues can be done at any time from any location electronically.

Payments can be made by more practical, quick, and secure methods, through internet banking, mobile banking, automated teller machines (ATMs), electronic data capture, or at banks.
