KARACHI: Chairman Karachi Port Trust Rear Admiral Jameel Akhtar has categorically rejected the news from poisonous gas leakage from any vessel at the Karachi Port Trust (KPT).
According to the details, speaking to the media at the KPT head office Chairman Karachi Port Trust Rear Admiral Jameel Akhtar said that after the incident of gas leakage all out effort were made and every corner of the KPT was search as well as investigates but none of the proof surfaced till yet.
I assure masses that the officials are responsible and they take care of every single activity, there are rumors that a ship of Soya Bean that anchored at KPT last day is the main cause of gas leakage which is baseless and totally wrong information, said the Chairman Karachi Port Trust Rear Admiral Jameel Akhtar.
He said no matter if any kind of commissions made to investigate the incident we welcome any kind of inquiry and will support the team when ever and where ever need. Commander Karachi has been asked to submit the inquiry report of Navy and it will be in hand till Tuesday in which all the situation will be cleared.
Chairman Karachi Port Trust also said that if one percent evidence came against us than we will have whole responsibility because it’s the matter of several lives, six people died and more than 100 got affected. He also expressed his condolence with the victims and their families for early recovery and prayed for them who lost their lives.
