LAHORE: The Model Customs Collectorate Lahore has decided to train deputy superintendents of customs and inspectors of preventive collectorate.
They will be taught about Customs Act, rules, Import CGOs, SROs, import, export policy and procedures, related laws, English writing abilities and Pakistan customs tariffs in order to get command on assessment and appraisement procedures.
The interested deputy superintendents and inspector will be selected and trained in the areas of assessment and appraisement for MCC Appraisement.
The interested and suitable candidates must have an experience of two years in the field of clearance and examination. The candidates would be able to give their names for the training courses through their assistant or deputy collectors. The names would be forwarded to the deputy collectors or assistant collectors by the deputy collector of customs (HQ).
The prospective candidates have been urged to go through the Customs Act, Rules, Import CGOs, SROs, import, export policy and procedures, related laws, English writing abilities and Pakistan customs tariffs.
Deputy Collector of Customs (H Q) Shafiqur Rehman said that the trained deputy superintendents and inspectors will serve MCC Appraisement, Lahore at various relevant places including Land Freight Unit (Wagha), Air freight Unit and T-10.
Trained deputy superintendents and inspectors may serve MCC appraisement in future, the sources said.
