MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 37 seizure cases involving Rs148.226 million during the month of May 2020-21.
The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 37 different seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their actions. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in May after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in 37 seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.
Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled almost 21 various seizure cases of worth Rs16.451 million throughout May after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy Collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled all seizure cases in the favour of Customs department after assessing evidences. Almost 19 fresh seizure cases of Rs.10.158 million have been added in the month of May in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.
Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Omer has decided only four seizure cases of worth Rs8 million throughout the month of May 2020-21.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in May. Near about 4 new seizure cases of Rs7.300 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during May 2021.
Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled almost 12 different seizure cases of worth Rs.123.775 million for the duration of May. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others.
