ISLAMABAD: Due to declining trend in the price of crude oil in Gulf Market, the price of petroleum, oil and lubricants (POL) may be reduced to Rs1.80 from the start of next month, October.
According to sources, price of petrol may be cut by Rs0.70 per litre, High Octane Blended Component (HOBC) Rs1.80 per litre, high speed diesel (HSD) Rs0.87 per litre, Kerosene oil Rs0.45 per litre and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) Rs 0.77 per litre.
However, the sources at petroleum ministry said that the burdened masses would remain deprive of Rs1.40 per litre relief owing to devaluation in Pakistani rupee against US dollar. They further said that if declining trend in the value of Pak rupee continued then expected relief might witness further reduction, they added.
