WARSAW: Poland’s car production in March rose 10% month on month and more than 20% year on year, and reached 67,600 vehicles, the best result since February 2012, data from market researcher Samar showed.
Q1 output thus reached 183,100 cars, 30,300 more than in the same period a year ago. The recovery is mainly attributed to Opel’s Gliwice based plant, which has taken over production of Opel Astra hatchback model from the German plant in Ruesselsheim.
