WARSAW: Poland’s registered unemployment rate edged down to 11.2% in April from the prior-month level of 11.7%, according to Central Statistics Office (GUS) figures released Tuesday.
The number of registered jobless at end-April measured 1.782 million. The number of new registrations measured 175,000, down from 187,600 in March. At the same time, 253,500 were crossed off the register. Employers filed 79,000 job offers in April, up from 69,900 in March.
