LISBON: The Railway trade review union said that almost 95 percent of the CP train ticket offices are closed due to a strike by workers in the commercial sector of the company, which also includes ticket inspectors.
Luis Bravo, from the Railway Trade Review Union said that only two long distance trains ran until 8am and no urban trains and that the high level of adherence to the strike should be seen as a “clear demonstration of worker dissatisfaction”. Between 80% and 90% of trains are expected to be cancelled today, with urban and regional trains being affected most.
