KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) decision to join Parliament after eight months of boycott helped the Karachi Stock Exchange shot up by 281 points or 0.90 per cent to 31413.96 points in early trading on Monday.
The benchmark 100-index witnessed highest trading level of 31460.55 points and lowest level of 31115.49 points with the total volume of 195,711,010 shares, having Rs11,650,200,060 value.
On the last trading day on Friday, the Karachi Stock Exchange witnessed bullish trend but benchmark KSE-100 Index reversed some initial gains, however, closed in green zone, by adding 28.71 points or 0.09% to finish at 31,413.96 points as compared to 31,132.25 of the previous session.
