KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) of Quetta has collected an amount of Rs261.37million in share of Customs Duty (CD), Sales Tax, Federal Excise Duty (FED) and Withholding Tax (WHT) in the month of July 2014.
According to details, the Collectorate collected an amount of Rs33.77 million in share of CD in first month of fiscal year2014-15 with decrease of 32per cent in comparison with July 2013.
The Collectorate collected an amount of Rs 186.74 million in share of Sales Tax in the month of July 2014 with an increase of 13 per cent as compared with the revenue collection in July 2013.
The Quetta Collectorate succeeded to collect revenue of Rs3.01 million in share of FED in the month of July 2014 with an increase of 447 per cent as compared with July 2013.
It has managed to collect a sum of Rs37.85 million in share of WHT in the month of July 2014 with an increase of 2per cent in comparison with the revenue collection in share of WHT in July 2013.
It is pertinent to mention here that the FBR has set revenue target for the Collectorate of Quetta in share of Customs Duty, FED, Sales Tax and WHT.
The Collectorate will have to collect revenue of Rs 2635.17 million in share of Customs Duty; Rs909.61 million in share of Sales Tax, Rs1.71 million in share of FED and Rs557.07 million in share of WHT during FY2014-15.
