KARACHI: In a pleasant move to rehabilitate the families of martyred police officials, the Bahria Town and Sindh Police have joined hands for the provision of Rs4.5 million relief package for the bereaved family of every police official martyr in the line of duty in Karachi.
The development came after the announcement of Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz Hussain regarding the provision of Rs1 million in cash and a 125 square yards plot to the families of each police official, martyred in the cosmopolitan.
Bahria Vice Chief Executive Zain Malik and Sindh Inspector General of Police Ghulam Ahmed Jamali signed the MoU at a ceremony.
Under the MoU, cash amount of Rs1 million will be transferred in the bank account of widow/family and they will receive Rs10,000 to Rs12,000 profit each month. The plots, to be given in Bahria Town Karachi, could be transferred, sold or developed only after the Sindh IG’s NOC.
