MOSCOW: Russian government prepared a stakeholder agreement in which they decided to transferring up to 23.9% stake in major oil company, Bashneft, to the local authorities that will foresee joint management and disposal of assets.
At the moment the state sets no aim of leaving this asset (Bashneft). The federal agency must retain a 50% stake plus one share in Bashneft, and the remaining part of its stake can be transferred to the local authorities.
The possibility that the region will only get Bashneft’s preference shares can not be ruled out.
At the moment the service holds 73.94% in the company, a 6.11% stake belongs to companies and 4.6% to households.
