TOKYO: Tokyo stocks rebounded on Monday with the benchmark Nikkei closing 0.65 per cent higher, after Wall Street rallied while investors shrugged off a drop in Japanese factory output.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo STOCK EXCHANGE, which fell for the second consecutive day on Friday, tacked on 125.77 points to end at 19,411.40.
The broader Topix index of all first-section shares gained 0.32 per cent, or 4.99 points, to 1,557.77.
