LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry Friday welcomed the government decision to suspend controversial SRO 351 (1) 2014.
In a statement issued here, the LCCI President Engineer Sohail Lashari, Senior Vice President Mian Tariq Misbah and Vice President Kashif Anwar thanked the Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for listening to the business community point of view and taking a prompt action against the SRO that has disturbed the entire business community of the country.
The LCCI office-bearers said that they also appreciate the efforts of all the Chambers of Commerce & Industry who joined hands with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce against the SRO and raised their voice.
They said that the efforts of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry for convening of all Chambers of Commerce & Industry moot against the SRO also deserve appreciation in the highest terms.
They said that the Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has raised the confidence of the private sector and it would go a long way in the promotion of economic activities in the country.

The LCCI office-bearers hoped that the Federal Board of Revenue would continue to facilitate the business community and all the SROs in future would be issued in consultation with the stakeholders.
